What is the basic engine in the 09 Toyota Camry? Is it a 2.5 Liter? Or is it 1. something?

It's a 2.4L 16-valve with about 160 hp. It's a nice and powerful, refined engine. I prefer the 4-cylinder to the v-6 in these cars because of operation cost and maintenance.
