If our Corrupt Congress got us into debt in the first place - why not take 90% of their paychecks?

Most of the money in question has gone to populist social programs because the populace demanded it. Things like earmarks for tea kettle museums, social security, Medicare, Medicaid, employment insurance, highway funds, WIC, welfare, unions, etc., etc. The biggest problem we have with spending is the populace of this country thinking they are entitled to as much as they can get from the government while paying no taxes.
